Cognizart by MetroArts Inc. was founded in 1993 in response to the alarming disparity in access to arts education for children in underserved communities and diminishing access to arts education in public schools. Our core tenet is that Cognizart’s arts education programs are the great equalizer in bridging socioeconomic gaps by strengthening community, academic success, and social inclusion.  We take a cognizant approach to delivering arts programs. On September 1, 2025, we merged with Orchestra Nova Northwest to allow both organizations the opportunity to innovate and expand by connecting the concert hall to the classroom, as Cognizart continues to deliver the incredible programming your children and you have grown to love.
