About Cognizart
Our Mission
Cognizart by MetroArts Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting life-long learning through the arts. Our mission is to teach creative and critical thinking processes through innovative arts education programs and curricula.
Our History
Since 1993, Cognizart by MetroArts Inc. has championed the vital importance of arts education in children's development. Our teaching for creativity programs ignite children's natural creativity, well-being, and self-confidence while also playing a role in social inclusion.
Over our 30-year history, we have positively impacted the lives of thousands of children. We have devoted much of our efforts to delivering scholarships and free artistic opportunities to children from underserved communities.
In 2020, we changed our name to Cognizart by MetroArts Inc., which more fully embraces our "cognizant" approach to delivering "arts" education.
