MetroArts Inc.’s Tango Clasico 2 Gala Promises an Evening of Elegance 


Exclusive benefit will feature special musical performances and delicious Northwest cuisine


Portland music fans and foodies alike are sure to delight in the Tango Clasico Gala on Thursday, 5th, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the World Forestry Center. MetroArts Inc. will host this special one-night-only benefit to support the organization’s mission to promote life-long learning through the arts by teaching creative and critical thinking processes through innovative arts education programs and curricula. Individual tickets and table reservations to the event are available.

Gala guests will dine on delicious Argentinean-inspired with Northwestern flair & freshness as they enjoy an evening filled with special musical performances by prestigious local classical artists including Tango Pacifico, four to six winners of the 26th Annual Young Artists Debut! Van Buren Competition, and MetroArts Inc.’s Executive Artistic Director, Principal Percussionist for the Oregon Symphony, Music Director and Conductor for Oregon Ballet Theatre and Grammy-nominated soloist Niel DePonte.

 “The Tango Clasico Two Gala is a celebratory event,” said DePonte. “Tango Pacifico, the Young Artists Debut! winners and I are all looking forward to performing for our guests at the benefit, which will raise funds to help us further the MetroArts Inc. mission to create and deliver engaging immersive arts education programs to inspire critical thinking for young people in the greater Portland area.”
